Meet Marsha Faulkner

A Journey of Design and Inspiration

A Theatrical Beginning

Marsha Faulkner’s path to becoming a visionary interior designer began in the unlikeliest of places – her high school theater. As she immersed herself in set decoration, Marsha discovered a passion that would shape her future. This early love for creating immersive environments set the stage for a remarkable career in design.

European Inspiration

After graduation, Marsha’s horizons expanded dramatically during her travels through Europe. Wandering through centuries-old buildings and soaking in the timeless elegance of classical interiors, she found herself profoundly inspired. These experiences ignited a lifelong appreciation for enduring design principles that continue to influence her work today.

Launching Studio M

Returning home, Marsha honed her skills at established firms, building a solid foundation of expertise. In 2010, armed with a wealth of knowledge and a unique vision, she took a leap of faith and founded Studio M Interior Design. Her firm quickly gained recognition for its fresh approach, blending classical elements with modern sensibilities.

Collaborative Approach

Throughout her career, Marsha has been more than just a designer; she’s been a collaborator, an educator, and a leader in her field. Her highly-tuned process brings together architects, contractors, and clients, creating a synergy that results in truly inspired spaces. This collaborative spirit, combined with her expertise, has earned her a stellar reputation in both residential and commercial design.

Educating and Leading

Marsha’s commitment to her craft extends beyond her own projects. As an author, adjunct professor, and keynote speaker, she passionately shares her knowledge with the next generation of designers. Her leadership roles in professional organizations like IIDA and ASID reflect her dedication to advancing the entire field of interior design.

Ongoing Evolution

Today, with over 25 years of experience, Marsha continues to evolve as a designer. She finds ongoing inspiration in her travels, her reading, and her practice of watercolor and plein air painting. Each project is an opportunity to create something unique, timeless, and deeply personal – a philosophy that has made Marsha Faulkner a true visionary in the world of interior design.
