In the exclusive coastal enclave of Destin, Florida, Studio M Interior Design embarked on an ambitious project to elevate a high-end spec house into the pinnacle of luxury beach living. This expansive oceanfront property offered immense potential but required a visionary touch to truly shine.

Our goal: Infuse this 12,000-square-foot space with a design that epitomizes Destin’s luxury interior design while maximizing the property’s breathtaking views and natural light. The challenge lay in creating an interior that seamlessly blended indoor and outdoor living, catering to the most discerning buyers seeking the ultimate coastal lifestyle.

Our Solution

Embracing our role as Destin, Florida luxury beach interior design experts, we:

  1. Capitalized on the home’s stunning location by creating an open-concept living area with floor-to-ceiling windows framing panoramic ocean views.
  2. Designed a bespoke coffered ceiling with warm wood inlays, adding depth and character while maintaining an airy, expansive feel.
  3. Chose a sophisticated neutral palette dominated by whites and soft beiges, allowing the vibrant blue of the ocean to serve as nature’s accent color.
  4. Incorporated curved, contemporary furniture pieces to echo the fluidity of the coastal environment, including a striking circular sectional sofa.
  5. Selected wide-plank, light oak flooring to ground the space and provide a natural, beachy texture underfoot.
  6. Created a gourmet kitchen with a generous island, featuring crisp white cabinetry and countertops that complement the overall design while offering functionality for entertaining.
  7. Installed pendant lighting with organic shapes, adding visual interest and warmth to the space without obstructing views.
